Memorable days:
Talent's day - A major part of our activities are like our regular assembly progammes. Special care is taken to see that every single child from Grades I to X play a part on this day. The highlight of this day is that the whole programme is planned and organized by our mentors and is based on a theme every year. Every child receives the talent certificate and cups and trophies are given away for various individual as well as inter- house competitions held through out the year. view photos
First step - An important day for our tiny tots who graduate from M3 to Grade I. The youngest group of GEAR cubs entertains their parents on this day. All M3 children receive their graduation certificates on this day. Again an in house effort. view photos

Intelligences Odyssey - At GEAR there is a conviction that children enjoy facing the toughest challenges so far they have the freedom to exercise their multiple talents, that too in a group. Thus the idea of IO. It is not a 5 minutes pressure cooker task. It is a Talents Odyssey and it is a crafted opportunity to enjoy finding ways and means to be creative with their ideas and talents. It is an activity where in the process has more importance than the product. www.mi-odyssey.net | view photos
MI ACT - The only one of its kind known as MI-ACT, Multiple Intelligences Activity Exhibition, to exhibit teacher created materials is held in the month of February every year. It is an exhibition where the display is mainly teacher created materials (not teaching aids) which are created during the course of the year by the teachers to teach a particular concept in an effective / enjoyable way. Student's responses of these activities are also part of the exhibition.
It also acts as an open house where parents get to know what actually happens at GEAR, the how of the teaching learning process and what makes the cubs look forward to school. Its mainly all classes in action be it sculpture , yoga, karate, dance, music, visual thinking, theatre, E.Ed, themes/projects, math lab, sports and games, academies along with all other hands on activities of various subjects.
GEM+ - It is an open house for the Montessori section too where all the Montessori materials are displayed under the following sections: Exercises in practical life, Sensorial, Math and Language. It also includes materials which are used during the course of the year for other activities like Hands On Science, Themes and Projects, Hands on Activities created by teachers like picture cards, opposites, tenses and reading materials. view photos
Workshops, field trips and projects Regular work shops and field trips are organized for GEAR cubs to complement their learning and make it complete. Most of these activities are organized on Saturdays. However in case of need they are also organized during regular school days. To name a few Glass painting, Pot painting, Origami, Pressed flower card making , first aid by the Sanjeevani group and many more work shops were conducted in the school.
Field trips are usually associated with the topics being dealt with during the regular classes. For example: when the FM children were having a topic on animals they paid a visit to the Bannerghatta National Park. Some of the children from the Biotechnology and RCIA academies visited the Indo American Hybrid Seeds lab to study the practical aspects of the techniques involved.
Several projects and field trips are also organized and implemented in connection with our E.Ed classes. Our school has been closely working with Development Alternatives for many year now and our children are working on several projects in association with this group. To name a few :- regular water sampling to check the water quality of the open wells, bore wells and lakes in the neighborhood.
