ASSESMENT (Cumulative Record of learning)

Our Question Papers are theme based which makes children 'connect' ideas and answer. Children of junior classes find it very interesting and fun Parents see grades for the answers of children. CRL (Cumulative Record of Learning) is in form of detailed observations and suggestions. This descriptive assessment helps children and parents to work on the steps to be taken to improve each child's performance.

Every step is assessed at GEAR; be it. Whole Language Activity, Hos - Hands-on Science, Sculpture, Chess or Dance. Children get to introspect and add their self-evaluation in certain areas. The list goes on from core subjects to talents activities:

Mathematics, Computer, Science, Social studies, English, Hindi, Kannada, French are core subjects where as Sculpture, Environmental science, Visual Thinking, Personality, CAP -CIPE Annual Project, Sports & games. Yoga, House activities, Chess, Projects, Dance, Music, Sculpture etc. become enrichment subjects. All these subjects are part of our curricular activities and all the children participate in all these activities.

AT GEAR students' performance is assessed on a continuous basis and parents are advised based on the understanding of the child. There are four scheduled interaction with parents during the academic year. As and when the school feels a need or the parents feel a need, a specific meeting is arrange and notes compared for the betterment of the child.
